Expense Management & Transport Coordination:

- Assist with rate negotiations and bookings for all routes.

- Verify creditor invoices against rate cards or estimates; capture costs and invoice files on ShipShape.

- Ensure transporters are compliant, insured, and have correct documentation.

- Monitor daily transport movements and ensure timely, safe delivery of cargo.

- Register all SADC shipment files and liaise with external transporters.


Operational Excellence & Client Service:

- Appoint suitable vendors meeting SACO requirements.

- Handle all consignment documentation, including customs and hazardous cargo requirements.

- Prepare estimates, update clients on tracking, and provide monthly reports.

- Plan consolidations, dedicated and full truckloads, and manage transport schedules.

- Follow up on estimates, collections, deliveries, and cargo receipts.


Adherence to Policies & Culture Accountability:

- Comply with HR policies, administrative procedures, and operational protocols.

- Participate in weekly operational meetings and quarterly performance reviews.

- Ensure team accountability and maintain high standards of service delivery.


Skills & Competencies:

- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- Strong communication (verbal and written) and correspondence skills.

- Problem-solving, decision-making, and customer-focused mindset.

- Self-management, planning, organization, attention to detail, and follow-up.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Valid driver’s license and solid knowledge of transport administration.

Matric.

5–10 years’ experience in road freight/logistics, ideally with ShipShape or similar systems.

In-depth knowledge of SADC shipping requirements, freight clearing, and sea/road freight operations.

Road freight/logistics qualification preferred.

Experience handling hazardous shipments advantageous.

Knowledge of road commercial insurance, loss control, cross-border policies, and geography of SADC region.
