Key Focus Areas:
• Prepare and process customs clearance entries for bonded cargo, including WE, XE, RIT, RIB, XRW and XIB.
• Capture and verify customs declarations and supporting documentation accurately.
• Verify tariff codes, customs values, quantities, weights and country of origin.
• Process customs amendments, acquittals and related transactions.
• Monitor customs entries from submission through to release and finalisation.
• Follow up on customs stops, inspections, queries and document requests.
• Monitor bonded cargo movements and ensure timely acquittal of entries.
• Maintain accurate bonded cargo, customs and shipment records.
• Liaise with clients, SARS Customs, transporters, bonded warehouses and freight forwarders.
• Ensure compliance with SARS Customs & Excise requirements.
• Assist with customs audits and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing and document control.

Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Previous experience in customs clearing, freight forwarding or logistics.
• Experience with bonded cargo and customs procedures is a must.
• Knowledge of SARS Customs and Excise processes.
• Good understanding of customs documentation.
• Computer literate, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook and Easy Clear will be an advantage.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
