Key Focus Areas:

- Manage local and cross-border road freight shipments from collection through to final delivery.
- Receive client orders, register shipments and verify supporting documentation.
- Prepare and quality-check freight estimates and invoices.
- Coordinate collections, loading and deliveries with transporters, clearing agents and regional
offices.
- Ensure cargo is correctly packaged, labelled and accompanied by the required documentation.
- Coordinate customs clearance, monitor releases, stops and detentions, and resolve related
queries.
- Track shipments, manage delays and provide regular updates to clients.
- Ensure all relevant documentation, including customs releases and proof of delivery (POD), is
obtained and maintained.
- Verify supplier and client invoices against estimates and resolve discrepancies.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure clients receive the necessary supporting
documentation.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and service providers.
- Oversee assigned road freight projects and identify opportunities to improve operational
efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

- Matric (Grade 12).
- 5–10 years' experience within a clearing and forwarding company.
- Proven experience in local and cross-border road freight operations.
- Sound knowledge of customs procedures, cross-border documentation and transport
requirements.
- Experience in freight estimating, costing and invoicing.
- Strong shipment coordination and client relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CargoWise.
